Season Update

serveSacramento State Club Volleyball has started off the season in dramatic fashion.  

Sac I opened with a home loss to Chico State and road win against Sonoma State.  The Hornet men then suffered a loss to UC Davis, but followed that up with a huge home win over #17 Cal Berkeley.  This puts Sac I’s current record at 2-2.

Sac II also opened with a home loss, this time to visiting Sonoma State.  They followed that up by travelling to Humboldt with only 6 players, but loss 2-3, playing the final 3 sets with only 5 players due to an injury.  After starting 0-2, Sac II has travelled to UC Davis and Pacific, winning both as they also bring their record to 2-2.Coach

The Women’s Club started league play with 2 home matches.  The season opener was against Sonoma State and the women played well, earning the 3-1 win.   The next day, Nevada Reno came to town.  After winning the first 2 sets, the Hornet women fell 2-3, leveling their record at 1-1 so far this season.

Next up for the teams on 2/11/12: 
- 11AM Women at UC Davis
- 12PM Sac II at Nevada Reno 
- 7PM Sac I and Sac II host the Alumni match in the YSM 171 (Small gym)

Women’s Cal Classic

Start of League Play

NCCVLAll Sac State Club Volleyball teams have opened there season as of 1/28/2012.   The both the men’s teams currently hold a 1-2 record and the women are 1-0 after winning their league opener vs Sonoma State.

Next up for the teams:
1/29 Women vs Nevada-Reno, 2PM in The Well
1/29 Men D2 at Pacific, 3PM
2/4 Men D1 vs Cal, 7PM in Yosemite Hall
