Sac State Men’s Volleyball returned from NCVF Collegiate Club Volleyball Championships with a 9th place finish in Men’s Division I.  This was the best finish in over 10 years for the club.  The team also had OH Jeff Steffens named Honorable Mention for the All Tournament Team, the men’s club first since 2004.

Sacramento State Men’s Club Volleyball alumni match will be in Yosemite Hall 171 (Small gym) on Sunday, March 17, 2013. Lunch will start at 12pm and the match will start between 2-3pm.  

Update 3/4/13: There is a high chance that we are going to have to reschedule the alumni match. If the team wins one match at this weekends League Championships (which they should), the team will qualify and make the trip to State Championships. State Championships are scheduled for the 16th and 17th of March. Women on 16th and Men on 17th. If Alumni day is changed, it will likely be for the weekend after Nationals as the team has tournaments every weekend through nationals. Sacramento State Men’s Club Volleyball apologizes for this, but thanks you all for your continued support!

Last weekend, the Sacramento State Men’s Club Volleyball team hosted the 2012 Sacramento Invitational.  This was the third and final fall semester tournament for the Hornet men.  Their first was at San Diego State where the Hornets fell in the first round of playoffs.  The next was at UC Berkeley, where the team fought back and finished 3rd.  At the final tournament before winter break, Sac State went undefeated to take 1st place, defeating Fresno State 2-1 (27-29, 25-21, 15-6) in the finals.

The Hornets look to keep improving over winter break before the regular season opens up in late January 2013.
